Windows Deployment Services - Imaging password problem

Hi,

Just need some help or advice on a problem that has come up here recently. I will give you the chain of events so you can better understand.

An audit was commissioned here where I work, and since I had only began working here 3 months ago I decided to lock down the network and make sure everything was secure.

There was no service accounts, and the administrator account was used to run all 3rd part applications, so you can imagine what happened when I changed the admin password.

Before I did it i created service accounts and swapped them one by one, but the only problem that remains is WDS. When we PXE boot and deploy the image it comes to the language select screen, and also asks for credentials to join the domain. I have setup a DomainOverlord service account, checked and made sure it could join machines to the domain, and replaced the old administrator username and password in the AutoUnattend.xml but it seems to not be picking up the password.

Is there something I am missing? Is it possible to check what AutoUnattend.xml the WIM is using? The person before me has obviously set this up a bit messy and i can see about 8-9 AutoUnattend.xml's in random places on the server. I have changed the details in each of them but it still doesn't image cleanly.

Any assistance would be great, the guy before me got fired, I am now beginning to understand why!

Thank you

Luke Bayley
