OK Geeks, I've been hammering on a W 2008 R2 server set up as a FS and WDS for my site.
I created a Win7 x64 images with all patches and current software. Image capture through WDS went ok and I can ImageX to machines in my LAN. Sysprep was OOBE/generalize/shutdown. Image machine is a Dell 6420 with no hardware issues(tested the crap out
of it). PXE boot is ok and all older image WIM files will deploy to their respective hardware. I've tried all the tricks in this link (https://social.technet.microsoft.com/…/windows-7-image-depl…)
but still the new Win 7x64 I captured via WDS gives the below error in setuperr.log on the client machine.
Setuperr.log :
2015-10-07 11:49:25, Error [0x0606cc] IBS WIMApplyImage failed; hr = 0x80070714[gle=0x00000714]
2015-10-07 11:49:25, Error [0x0600a1] IBS DeployImage:Image application failed; hr = 0x80070714[gle=0x00000714]
2015-10-07 11:49:25, Error [0x060082] IBS Callback_ImageTransfer:Failed to lay down the image; hr = 0x80070714[gle=0x00000714]
The image will deploy perfect from our Fort Worth WDS master to clients in that treed. In my location IU can image via ImageX and don't get this log error. WDS server is 2008 x64 R2.
