I'm setting up anew Windows Server 2012 R2 Server. I have mirrored a pair of 1tb drives and have an additional drives (1 tb, 500 gb and a 100gb SSD) in the box. My purpose in mirroring the primary disks is for resiliency in case I disk fails the server should be able to continue and be bootable. I mirrored them use the disk manager.
Is this the preferred approach or should I leave them un-mirrored and create a mirrored disk using server manager and create virtual disks that are mirrored? Will this approach protect the hypervisor host ?
