I am trying to make a Windows 7 Professional x64 image, which I intent to deploy with a WDS server. I use dism from WAIK to inject the drivers into the boot.wim, taken from a Windows 7 iso. When I PXE boot and selects the Windows 7 boot image on my WDS server I get the following error:
Windows client: An error occurred while trying to start the network: There was not found a similar network card in this image. Get the administrator to add the network adapter for this computer to Windows PE image on the server for Windows Deployment Services.
This error comes with a fresh boot image, to resolve this error I download the ethernet lan driver from lenovo support for the model-type 10a9-0011mx choosing Windows 7 and Networking: LAN (Ethernet) and downloading the Intel driver. After adding the driver I try PXE boot again and gets the same error.
During the injection dism fails because some of the drivers are not digitally signed and I have to use the /forceunsigned switch to complete the injection. Is there an issue with the Windows 7 drivers? I have no problem creating Windows 8 or 8.1 images.
