Upgrading DCs

Hi!

We have 2 win 2008 R2 DCs which we need to upgrade to Windows 2012. We only have win 2012 data center licenses. We want to use the same names and ip addresses as the current DCs. What can be the proper way to do that. We are thinking of following the below steps:

1. Demote the additional DC and install a VM as an additional dc and use the same name.

2. Transfer the Roles from Primary DC to Additional DC.

3. Demote the Primary DC, install Windows 2012 Data Center and use the same name.

4. Transfer the roles back to Primary DC

Is this the correct procedure?
