Hi,
When trying to load a piece of software from a server in a (AD) trusted domain on a (W7) client I get a warning about "This file is outside your local network blah blah blah..".
The fix has been to browse to Control Panel - Internet Options - Security - Local Intranet - Sites. In here enable the "Include all local (intranet) sites not listed in other zones" and "Include all network paths (UNCs)" check boxes. Then click advanced and add the IP range containing the software eg "10.113.50.*" unchecking the box requiring HTTPS.
This works fine on a per PC per user basis. I want to deploy this to all clients on my network for all users.
I have tired a GPO using:
User configuration - Policies - Windows Settings - Internet Explorer maintenance - Security - Security Zones and Content Ratings
This didnt seem to work.
Ideally I'd like to roll this out as a registry key fix but when looking in the registry section (HKCU\Software\microsoft\windows\currentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap)
It is listed under Ranges - range37 (spybot S&D has created a list of already rated IP ranges). If I change the Range37 to another number eg Range99 it stops working. I assume the range number has to be consecutive?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Matt
