Is is possible to use Windows Server 2012 Standard license to activate Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise / Standard?

 Hi All,

We have purchase Windows server 2012 Standard DataCenter licenses which allows us to create a unlimited Windows 2008 Vm's. My questions is if I install Windows 2008 Enterprise and Standard, will it get activated?
