We need to install a 2019 CA (certificate Authority) server in our AD environment. We currently have a 2008R2 CA server. I am not looking to migrate as there is some 'cleaning up' of certificates that needs to occur from a previous admin and this
is an opportunity to start fresh. I've heard mixed reviews and not seen any real steps to bringing them up side by side at the same time and just begin removing certs from old and putting them on new. Some say that creates issues which is not an option in
our production environment. Does anyone have clear steps to bring up this new 2019CA server (not a domain controller) to REPLACE the existing 2008R2 CA server? I need to have a clear time table for scheduling and without clearly defined steps it's
difficult to get there.
