We are attempting to setup WDS and have been unsuccessful at this point. Listed below are the steps we have performed.

.The WDS and DHCP servers are on the same subnet.
.The WDS (Virtual Machine) and DHCP (Physical Machine) server are running on separate machines.
.The WDS and DHCP servers are part of a Windows 2008 R2 domain.
.The Windows Deployment Services Role has been added to the WDS server and the WDS server has been added.
.A boot image (status is online) has been added to the WDS server by selecting the Boot.win in the Sources folder on the Windows 7 Pro DVD.
.An image group has been created and an install image (status online) has been created and added to the WDS server by selecting the Install.wim in the Sourced folder on the Windows 7 Pro DVD.

.The WDS server properties box has the following properties set on the tabs listed below.
.The General tab. Remote installation folder: E:\RemoteInstall
.The General tab. Server mode: Native (Windows Deployment Services)
.The PXE Response tab. PXE Response Policy: Respond to all client computers.
.The PXE Response tab. PXE Response Delay: 0
.The AD DS tab. Client Naming Policy: %16Username%#
.The AD DS tab. Computer account location: Same domain as the Windows Deployment Services server.
.The Boot tab. PXE Boot Policy: Known clients – Continue the PXE boot unless the user presses the ESC key.
.The Boot tab. PXE Boot Policy. Unknown clients – Continue the PXE boot unless the user presses the ESC key.
.Default boot image (optional): No entry.
.The Client tab. No options selected.
.The DHCP tab. No options selected.
.The Multicast tab. Multicast IP Address: Use addresses from the following range – Ipv4 (239.0.0.1 to 239.0.0.254) and IPv6 (FF15::1 to FF15::FF).
.The Multicast tab. Transfer Settings: Keep all multicast clients in a session at the same speed.
.The Advanced tab. Domain Controller: Allow Windows Deployment Services to dynamically discover valid domain servers.
.The Advanced tab. DHCP Authorization: Do not authorize this Windows Deployment Services server in DHCP. We have also tried the option: Authorize this Windows Deployment Services server in DHCP.
.The Network tab: UDP Port Range: (64001 to 65000).

.The predefined options listed below have been created on the DHCP server.
.Option 66: entered the computer name of the WDS into the data string.
.Option 67: entered \boot\x86\wdsnbp.com into the data string.
.Upon booting a client workstation to PXE it obtains an IP address from the DHCP server and then displays the following message: “No entry found in database for the device.”

Any assistance would be appreciated.
