Windows Server 2008 R2 Will not start after using Ccleaner Wipe Free Space Option. It took ccleaner several days to run the Wipe Fee Space option which I though was safe for any Windows based OS. The Server remained operational after completion
and remained on a up state. The server was turned off and then back on but it got stuck on on the Windows Logo, as if it was loading but remained loading for an extended period of time. There was HDD activity but did not go past that screen for several
hours. I did not want to touch it just in case it was writing something critical to disk but then after several hours, I had to power it off manually. I selected the start windows in Normal Mode when i was given the option the second time around
and it did the same thing, so I went ahead and turn it off again, and selected the safe mode with Networking option which actually brought me to a log on screen, I was able to log in but even the "help with safe mode" pop up was not loading. The
OS was barely responding to even clicking to start button. I did let it stay up for a day since there was activity on the HDD. I had to shut it down and try normal mode again, but it would not start, it stayed on the loading screen as it did originally. I ran chkdsk / r and it did not find any issues, so I decided to select the Last Good Know Configuration and this time it booted normal and brought me to the CRLT ALT DEL screen, I pressed CTRL ALT DEL and the message goes away but there is no domain/username
to select and it stays there, again with the HDD showing activity. Disk test results are good. Any tips?
