I am currently in the process of setting up a WDS Server for my school. Until recently, everything was working fine, but in the last couple of weeks I've ran into a problem : When i deploy a post, the server doesn't name it like it should.
I've set up a naming policy in WDS which looks like that : "Pedago-%03#" so that my computers would be named Pedago-001, Pedago-002 and so on. What happens instead is that the computer keeps his original default name (WIN-7KLFGW75WXC or something like that), and in the end the computer isn't even joining my domain like it should be.
The WDS Server actually creates the computer accounts in the AD, with the name they were intended to have, i can see the computers accounts PEDAGO-xxx being created in the AD.
So in the end the only problem seems to be that the WDS is somehow unable to apply a name to the computer, and i don't know why. And what troubles me even more is that when i ran my first tests back in April/May, everything worked perfectly fine. Does anyone have an idea ?
