Hello.
I have a Server 2012R2 and Windows 10 on different physical disks on the same computer without dual boot.
I want to do the following: Join Windows 10 and Server 2012R2 on a single disk with dual OS boot, while RE must be of Windows 10, not of Server2012R2.
I have a step sequence in mind and ask community to check what is possibly or definitely wrong, or should be taken into account, or should being aware of.
- Shrink a partition of Windows 10 and create new partition from released disk space.
- Clone data partition of Server 2012 R2 to the partition from step 1.
- Use bcdedit to copy Windows 10 entry and point it to Server 2012 R2.
- Something i forgot, misunderstand, don't know?
In short - what i am doing wrong or missing?
If Technet (or any other Microsoft or not resource) already has a step-by-step guide or another helpful topics how to do it, i'd be interested to know about them too.
Thanks.
