Ive got two stores in different locations connected by vpn, and had a quick question about dns settings on the 2 domain controllers as well as the dns settings on the client pc’s. Im going to bring up 1 new domain controller at each location, same domain. There is currently no domain controller at either location. Once ive got both domain controllers setup, 1 at location 1, and the other at location 2, what should those domain controllers have in their primary and secondary dns settings? Should anything be setup in the dns forwarding setup on either domain controllers, like an isp dns address for example? When the domain controllers are setup correctly, what should the client pc’s have in their primary and secondary dns settings? Should the client pc’s have the isp’s dns address setup anywhere in their list of dns servers? Ive been reading up a lot on this, but cant seem to find anything showing the sure best way. Thanks in advance for any help on this.
