We do not have a Exchange Server at this time. I do want to back up the outlook.pst file containing the contacts, etc for each user. I do know that the PST files do not work with redirection.
On one side I see the Network Stored PST files ... don't do it! at http://blogs.technet.com/askperf/archive/2007/01/21/network-stored-pst-files-don-t-do-it.aspx. In my case the best answer seems to be use the pkbackup from Microsoft and create the necessary folders on the server to receive the backup files. On the other side, I am being told by the local network company that they been told by Microsoft to store the pst files on the network.
Can someone provide more input on where to store the pst files on the server?
