I'm in the process of adding a WSUS server to my company infrastructure. It appears that finding a relatively cheap copy of server 2008r2 is becoming increasingly rare so I wanted to know about the compatibility of server 2012 with server 2008. In the past I've worked in places that ran WSUS on server 2003 while running Active Directory on server 2012, but I was wondering if the opposite is possible.
I currently have AD running on server 2008r2 - if I were to deploy a WSUS box running 2012 into my current setup, would there be any issues or is this something that could run smoothly?
