I am testing backup restore operation with an older pc. The server I have an image of acts as a host with the hyperv role, and has guests running windows 2012 for DC and Apps. This old pc has only 8 gb of ram. I am experiencing issues with some services (rds) and am wondering if there just isn't enough RAM to make it all work? I have 1 gb allocated to the dc and 4 gb allocated to the app server. The app server has the rds role and handles rds licensing as well.
I know 8 gb is not sufficient for a production machine - is it insufficient even to test with?
