I have just setup a KMS on a server 2012 R2 machine. KMS used to be installed on a server 2008 r2 machine which activated windows 7 and office 2010.
I am a bit confused regarding the kms count. I want all the old machines to activate against the new KMS and i believe the count has to reach 25 before this will happen. Is it only new machines added to the domain which count towards the 25 or any machine on the domain that used to activate against the older kms server? the count has already increased to 3 so it is going up slowly.
I have published the new kms in DNS and have tested so know its working fine.
