Haven't been able to find anything on this topic and figured at this point it would be faster just to ask. I have two servers at work, currently out of production, and I intend to stand them up as Hyper-V hosts with VM's supported for a Cx web solution. We have purchased copies of Server 2012 (will install 2008R2) but we are still waiting for the vendor to supply activation keys.
Can I begin building the servers with activation from my technet account and later move to the MAK's? I want to avoid activating an evalution and dodge the 3 day grace period so I can get going on the build. To be clear this is only for standing up the server off network and when placed into production they will be on production keys.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum but setup deployment sounded closer than the rest.
