Hi
I'm trying to come up with a system to allow our users to re-image their laptops instead of having them send them back to Head Office internationally. I can place a shortcut on the desktop using GPO pointing to the LiteTouch.vbs script of MDT.
At the moment I'm trying to use it to migrate their data to a network share, then kick off an image on the new laptop can copy their data and settings back. All fairly standard.
The option to restore user data and settings from a network share displays fine when booting from the network using PXE, however, I'm really trying to get this option to display when running LiteTouch.vbs from the desktop (I don't want to have to go through the hassle of talking non-techy users through network boots etc). I've added two screenshots for clarity; one showing the restore step I'm requiring and the other when running LiteTouch and the step missing.
I have the SkipUserData=NO in the CS file.
I understand that there are more automatic ways to do this but at the moment I don't have the time to research it. We also don't have a Config Mgr server, so unfortunately that's not an option.
Is there some setting that will present this option?
