WDS sysprep unattend:unattend.xml settings not applying after capture

Hello all,

I have a situation where I have a Windows 7 desktop, which I have fully loaded with all required software and have run;

sysprep /generalize /oobe /unattend:unattend.xml /quit

From there I have captured the image to my WDS server and it works OK. No problems. When I power up my desktop the sysprep script runs and the machine is joined to the domain and whole bunch of other, basic things like time zone etc.

When I try to deploy the captured image from the WDS server to identical hardware, the captured wim deploys great, no problems. When I boot the identical hardware the sysprep script kicks in, but upon a reboot I am prompted with all the basic configuration questions. The sysprep script isn't executing.

I dont have a client side unattend file on my WDS server as I am happy to go through the PXE environment questions at the moment while I fine tune my unattend.xml settings and get this to work as it should.

Any ideas why?

Thank you

Martin
