My organization is planning on simplify our deployment process and we're looking into using djoin. We have remote locations where we don't see the need to have a DC. I would like to hear from others that have used the djoin their experience on ease and what is actually needed to make this process work. I've researched on the web and hear different processes or procedures on how to make djoin work.
- Do I really need a RODC? if so, at our main location?
- FACT: You need a workstation that is already part of the domain to run a djoin command to acquire the blob txt file
- FACT: Create pre-AD computer accounts which will be used for Djoin.
- FACT: You can use WSIM to simplify this whole process? or to some extent?
- Question? what kind of information does the blob file contain? does it contain network information that will allow an end user at a remote location to get full network access from corporate headquarters?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
