Looking to upgrade KMS which is currently on a 2008 R2 server serving 2008 R2 and 7 to support Server 2012 and Windows 8.
Do the down level clients "count" towards the required activations (5/25)?
For example, after the KMS host has been upgraded and new key installed, we're only looking to initially add one Server 2012 guest and one Windows 8 client which doesn't meet the 5/25 required. Will the 2008 R2 servers and Windows 7 clients count towards the count? Or will we have to install 5 2012 servers and 25 Windows 8 clients to continue servicing the downlevel client activations?
