What else can I do to fix this other than re-installing the server from scratch??
I can't install IIS 6 Metabase compatibility on Server 2008 R2 w/ SP1
I have attempted the removal of Windows Process Activation, I get the same error.
I have run checksur.exe, it had no effect
I have run sfc /scannow, no problems found.
I have attempted to remove and reinstall Service Pack 1, but it isn't listed in installed updates or add remove programs, so I can't remove it. I think it is included on the original installation disk.
I have attempted a repair installation of Windows, It made it to the last step on the first try and gave an error that it couldn't continue. It got stuck at 18% when collecting information on the second attempt and this is the log file:
