We are trying to install Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 SP1 in our Dell PowerEdge T110 Server.
The server uses S300 Dell PowerEdge RAID Controller which requires driver installation which we did on each installation using the driver provided by DELL via a Thumb Drive.

The installation went on well for the other 3 servers.

But we are getting the following error message particularly on this server.

“Windows cannot install required files. the file does not exist. Make sure all files required for the installation are available,  and restart the installation . Error code 0x80070002”

I have tried the following measures to eliminate this error message.

1)Burnt countless “Moser Baer”  DVDs in 1X speed in IMGBurn.
2)Burnt in different DVD Burners (Hardware) too.
3)Deleted / Formatted / Created partitions in the hard drive multiple times.
4)Diagnosed for any hardware problems using DSET Tool from Dell and found none.
5)DSET Tool based on CentOS 6 Live CD working without any issues which confirms the DVD Reader’s quality.
6)I have attempted to create a Bootable Windows 2008 R2 Thumb drive with following steps.
a. select disk 2
b. clean
c. create partition primary
d. select partition 1
e. active
f. format quick fs=fat32
g. Extracted the ISO contents to Hard drive and copied the content to the USB Thumb drive.
h. But the server couldn’t boot from the USB as even the option doesn’t show.
i.Dell customer support says the thumb drive was not boot-able.

Please assist us in rectifying the issue.
