I have a WDS server that I setup a couple years ago with a 32 Bit Windows 7 Image. It works great for that. We are now needing to deploy 64 bit images but I cannot seem to get them to work right. It starts off good, boot to PXE, enter my credentials, select the Task for the 64 bit image, it loads the Operating System. However, that is where it doesn't work the same as the 32 bit. During the Image setup, it asks for the computer name, domain to join, time zone and I enter all that in. However, it doesn't seem to process that tasks. When the Operating System is finished deploying it comes up to a Windows 7 Setup and ask for the computer name. It should not do that since I specified the name during the start process.
Here is what I did, hoping I missed something...
1. Setup the workstation with Win 7 64 and ran sysprep. Captured the image to install64.wim using imagex.
2. Imported the Operating System into Deployment Workbench
3. Created Task Sequence for new OS.
