searching for system hardware and installing the drivers during setup

Hi

I encountered the same issue when I was installing both windows 2008 server (evaluation) and windows 7 RC.

May I know why both abv mentioned operating system doesn't have a phase for searching for the server/pc/laptop hardware and installing the drivers(unlike the previous windows operating system) during setup?

Pls advise. Thanks for the help.
