Hello,
I would like to create a standardized image for Win 7/64 deployment to physical machines using a Hyper-V guest VM (the Hyper-V host is Server 2008 R2).
The plan would be to build up the image on the VM, sysprep, shutdown, then PXE boot the VM to my WDS server where the image would be captured. On the WDS server I also have installed various Dell driver CAB files. Physical Dell machines will then PXE boot to the WDS server, select the aforementioned install image from the VM, and complete installation while pulling down any necessary drivers from the CAB files.
I am curious as to whether there are known issues/problems using a sysprepped VHD in the manner described above?
Have others have good/bad experience applying VM sourced VHDs to physical machines?
Thank You,
