I am running across an issue that has started to become a bit more of a bother.
What I am running into is that I have three clients I would like to deploy a custom-build image to from WDS. While I PXE these clients, they find the WDS Server then Download the Boot Image, then when the Boot Image starts I have a DHCP server could not be reached error.
Here is how this is setup;
SRV-WDS : Roles - WDS ::: Firewall - OFF
SRV-DC : Roles - DC, DNS ::: Firewall - ON
SRV-IP : Roles - DHCP, RemoteApp ::: Firewall - OFF
3 Clients - Lenovo M55-8808 SFF Intel Centrino 2GB-RAM
While I am looking at a client, at the Boot Images "Setup is Starting" page, I bring up command (Shift+F10) and use the IPCONFIG command to watch the IP settings as it changes. The WDS Error occurs almost 10 seconds before I actually see the IP Address hadded to it in IPCONFIG. The client is getting an address, but the WDS Client on the Boot Image times out before it actually gets the address.
What can be done to fix this? I've looked over all of the settings and I see nothing wrong.
Note: The WDS Service has worked for almost 10 months without any issues before this week.
