Share my IP address on internet

Hello All,

I am not an expert in networks configuration. I would like to know how I can make my machine available on internet, such that, I can access it from any place by its IP address. For example, my machine in the work-network has an IP 192.168.1.103, so I can go to any machine on the same network and access my machine remotely by running remote desktop connection and entering 192.168.1.103. However, at home, I cannot access my work machine by its IP address. How can I make my IP discoverable by the outer world, so I can access my machine from any place?
